INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the OCTOA Motorcycle Club. The OCTOA has always been focused on providing training and networking opportunities for on-duty traffic officers in Orange County. With expansion of the OCTOA’s Mission to provide more assistance to the families of officers killed or injured in the line of duty, was the need to call on individuals to assist with fundraising activities. As a result, the OCTOA Motorcycle Club was created to assemble a group of volunteers who could help the association. When not volunteering to assist with association events, the Motorcycle Club offers group rides, training, and the ability to do something positive with your motorcycle in your off duty hours. The OCTOA has several categories of membership. This includes memberships for active, retired, or reserve peace officers as well as non-sworn employees of law enforcement agencies. Additionally, we have a limited number of memberships available for individuals who are not affiliated with a law enforcement organization. Membership rates are only $60 per year and include your choice of a short or long sleeve T-Shirt. We welcome you to browse our pages and learn more about a great organization.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF

Welcome to the OCTOA Motorcycle Club webpage. The OCTOA is an excellent organization and I am proud to be affiliated with it once again. In 2002, while the Traffic Commander at the Santa Ana Police Department, I was the OCTOA President and helped draft the first formal Bylaws. The Board’s intent at that time was to take a loosely knit and largely informal organization, and provide it with structure, tax-exempt status, and a Mission Statement with the goal to assist injured officers and the families of officers who had been killed in the line of duty. Since that time, the OCTOA has expanded and have achieved many worthwhile accomplishments. In 2010, I approached the current Board with a proposal to form a new branch of the association which would provide volunteers to assist with events, and whose main activities would be centered around recreational motorcycle activities. I hope that you will consider joining our fine organization and further our goals while enjoying the spirit of volunteerism.

Thank you,
